For the Passiv Smart Thermostat to communicate with Panasonic heat pumps it requires the Intesis Modbus RTU module order code: INMBSPAN001A000
Intesis Connections
Route the RS485 twisted pair screened cable to the Panasonic outdoor unit. On the outdoor unit use the same cable grommet for both Panasonic communication cable and the Passiv Smart Thermostat RS485 cable. Feed the RS485 cable inside the outdoor unit and make the following RS485 connections:
Intesis in the middle of the RS485 cable run | Intesis at the end of the RS485 cable run |

Using the supplied connection cable, ensure the outdoor unit is powered off and connect to the CN-CNT connection block on the main PCB and then connect the other end to the white connector block at the top of the Intesis module.
Using the DIN rail tags on the top and bottom edge of the Intesis, either screw or cable tie securely in place within the outdoor unit.
Intesis DIP switch configuration
The single DIP switch at the top of the unit must be all OFF:
The pair of DIP switches at the bottom of the unit (see the photo below) must be set as shown:
See table 1 for DIP switch 4 position.
NOTE: If the DIP switches have been changed the outdoor unit with the Intesis connected must be powered off and then back on for the settings to take effect.
